Amy has been one of my best and dearest friends since we were about 14 years old. She was one of the first people who encouraged me to pursue photography many years ago. My friend has been going through a pretty tough time for awhile now and so when she asked me a few months ago to take some quick shots of her and her precious boys, I was happy that I could do something to brighten her day.
This is one strong, hard working mama. She worked multiple jobs while putting herself through nursing school and at the same time she drove back and forth from Nashville to help take care of her sick grandfather. There were times when she didn't think she could do it, but I knew she could. Now you can find her working 12 hour shifts at Vanderbilt, taking care of people everyday with compassion and love. She jokes that her favorite patients are the ones nobody else wants to deal with. The drug addicts, the poor, the elderly people who many others seem to have no patience for. She loves the underdog, the forgotten ones. God could not have picked a more perfect person to care for people who cannot care for themselves!
My beautiful friend and her handsome boys.
