I first met Dana over 10 years ago when we started working together in Hopkinsville, KY and she soon became one of my best friends. We've worked together, vacationed together, laughed and cried together, and shared each others trials and triumphs. Since I moved to Russellville in 2010 we don't get a chance to spend as much time together as I'd like, but when we do it's like we still see each other every day. She's one of those people that you just enjoy being around because she usually has a smile on her face and she just makes everything so much more entertaining.
Over the last 10 years I've watched my friend overcome so much that life has thrown at her and I can't tell you how very proud I am of the woman she's become as a mother and a Christian. She's worked hard to better herself and make a good life for her child. Tookie (as he was nicknamed as an infant) is about as close to a carbon copy of his mama as he can be. From his facial expressions to his sense of humor, she couldn't deny him as her child if she wanted to.
This past fall we got together for a quick mother/son family session and I absolutely love the moments that we captured. I feel like their relationship is well portrayed in these images and you can see how they love one another. Nothing like a boy and his mama, she will always be his first love!
